Rubi Rose

Rubi Rose Benton a Kentucky native who was born October 2, 1997. She was raised by Nardos Gebrelul, her mother (an Eritrean immigrant dentist, born in Ethiopia) and John Benton her father (a lawyer with Japanese as well as African American descent). The father of her mother was adopted. Scarlette, her older sister, as well as Coral her younger sister are both adopted. [2] As a child she was baptized an Orthodox Christian. (More sources are needed) She resided in Geneva, Switzerland for one year. In her senior year of high school she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. She was a student at Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia and ran track. She was a student of political sciences at Georgia State University. She fell in love with Marvin Gaye's music as well as the sounds of Biggie, Prince, Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan. Megan Thee Stallion's Nicki Minaj and Nicki Cardi B are among her biggest influences. Rose was first noticed as the main actor in Migos music videos, including "Bad and Boujee" that was a hip-hop band. About this time she began appearing regularly on a Twitch stream alongside Jamaican-born East Coast Hip Hop Commentator DJ Akademiks. Her music career started in September 2018 , when she released an original remix of "On the Top", which was produced by Playboi. With her hit single "Big Mouth" her popularity grew in 2019. Rose was in Cardi B's music video to her hit single "WAP" on the 7th of August, 2020. In the year 2019, she was signed by A&R Chris Turner to LA Reid's record label Hitco Entertainment.
