Amy Smart has been a model, actress, and a former American. Growing up and being raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get the role she wanted for her in Starship Troopers. It was very difficult for her to transition from modeling to acting since the models were never thought of as actors and tended to be assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. However, Amy refused to give up and stepped into more prestigious roles. It all started with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on larger roles. Amy was finally recognized for her efforts in the last 10 years. Amy went on to appear in major films including the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
