Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her starring roles in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. While growing up in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of goals. Her mother enjoyed watching films and instilled a passion for movies in her daughter too. Paula was involved with her school's cocurricular activities and was particularly drawn to the dramatic arts. Paula loved playing the role of an actor alongside her peers and was a participant in her school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School offered her numerous opportunities to be an actor in high school and she picked acting for a profession. She was part of The University of Southern Cal's summer camp, and loved it immensely. She was given a three month task to produce documentary films for PBS. Her first job was as a production assist for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the project. The next thing she did was begin producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable however, she always wanted to be an actor. She began her journey into acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star for the love story Hitch. In the years since, she's appeared in many productions and films.
