April Ross
April Ross was one of just a handful of women beach volleyball stars who won medals during more than one Olympics. Alix-Klineman is set to compete alongside April Ross Tokyo in order to claim her third gold in the next few days. Ross is also hoping to win her first Olympic medal. As she turns 39, it could be her last opportunity to claim the Olympic gold. However, she's confident that winning the gold medal is in reach. Ross through NBC Boston, said that if the team plays consistently or well they could win a gold. This is also an issue of luck. Ross was born in the city of Costa Mesa, California in the year 1982. Her parents and her sister lived there. Along with competing in various sports, Ross also attended Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball along with basketball, running and track. However, she was a standout in this sport. In her time at high school, she played middle blocker outside setter and hitter at the tennis court per her bio at the college. In recognition of her work, she was honored as in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. In addition, she was awarded the award in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been performing their roles in the year 2017. The reality is that Ross played a significant role on the beach volleyball circuit prior to the pair. She has won numerous tournaments, including one with the legendary player of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until the year 2013. Along with Kessy Ross was awarded an Olympic Title in 2009 while competing in the international circuit. The pair eventually picked up an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio to beat out for gold. Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball medal in the Rio Olympics 2016. They were joined by Walsh Jennings. Ross began her college time with the Trojans at USC following high school. The Trojans were a few years away from when Ross went to the beach, and then became a pro. Her time at USC was awe-inspiring. Her freshman year in 2000 was when she won the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year awards and be an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans get to their first Final Four. The second season of her career she suffered a devastating personal loss, yet earned the distinction of being an All-American. Through her two final years of participation in the Trojans team, she led them to a national title each year. She had established herself as an all-time great having won the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross, an USC international relations major, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross didn't get to witness Ross become the highest beach volleyball levels. Ross lost the breast cancer that she battled in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. As a result, Ross remains near to her mother who passed away. Margie is a beach lover as well as in her everyday life, continues to inspire her.
